PwC Report on the "UK's Global Maritime Professional Services: Contribution & Trends"

According to research published by the City of London Corporation:

"The UK’s maritime professional services sector contributes about £4.4 billion to the UK economy annually and directly employs over 10,000 people."

This PwC report estimates that the UK has:

• 35% share of global marine insurance premiums;
• 26% share of global shipbroking revenue; and
• 25% of the world’s maritime legal partners are based in the UK.
